Orientation Check In
Check in is the first step of orientation. At this first step, you will:
• Present your immigration documents or copies
• Complete student responsibility form
• Pick up your CHECK-IN SHEET in CSU 253/4/5 today and check out later in the week
• Take a seat and enjoy snacks while you wait to hear the information briefing.

After you information briefing, Peer Mentors will escort you around campus to the following places:
  • Apply for your MavCard and have your photo taken
  • Pay Health Insurance Fee ($1,688): This fee must be paid before you may register for classes. You can pay online at: http://www.mnsu.edu/campushub/programs/isohealth
  • Pay $300 a tuition deposit at the Cashier's Office
  • Make an appointment with a banking representative to open a bank account later in the week (optional)
  • Set up your technology accounts

You will also learn if you need to take a Math and/or English Placement Test. Your CHECK-IN SHEET will say whether you must be tested. Here is more info: https://www.mnsu.edu/success/placement/
